NHS Sussex Chair showcases Community Research Project

Brighton & Hove LGBT Switchboard is a proud member of the Sussex Research Engagement Network (REN), ensuring LGBTQ+ voices help influence health care policy and shape local services for our communities. We are thrilled the REN project was showcased at the King’s Fund Life Sciences Conference last week by NHS Sussex Chair, Stephen Lightfoot.

At the conference Stephen emphasised the importance of putting patient and community voices at the centre of research and innovations to ensure this work is truly patient-centred.

He showed this video highlighting the work we’ve been doing at Sussex Research Engagement Network. It includes fantastic community researchers, bringing their lived experience of communities, including LGBTQ+ communities, to progress our work in Sussex.
