LGBT Carer’s Lunch
At LGBT HIP, we know that carers are some of the busiest people on the planet! Caring for elderly parents, a disabled partner or a friend with health problems doesn’t always leave much time for extra activities. But wouldn’t it be great if there was somewhere you could go to get some information and advice, as well as have a bit of ‘you’ time with other LGBT carers?
We’ve teamed up with the Carer’s Centre to arrange a special lunch for LGBT carers. The Carer’s Centre has been going since 1988 so they know a thing or two about the demands of caring but they want to reach out and include more LGBT carers in what they do. Here at LGBT HIP, we want carers to have a strong voice in the city so that issues for LGBT carers get put on the agenda.
