Switchboard is delighted to have received additional funding to support the development of our Trans Survivors Switchboard, which we co-run with Survivors’ Network. This came from a successful funding bid from Victims Support Fund.
This service is run entirely by trans people, for trans people. With this money we will be able to expand the service from a helpline supporting trans and non-binary survivors of sexual violence, to supporting trans survivors of all forms of violence and crime. We will also be able to recruit a part time Volunteer Coordinator to run the project and facilitate our helpline volunteers.
This news perfectly coincides with Transgender Awareness Week – and is some much needed positive news which will help our service grow and develop.
You can find out more about the service here, and if you identify as trans or non-binary, look out for our job advert going out in the next few weeks!
