Grief Encounters is a peer support group for LGBTQ people who have experienced a bereavement.
Many LGBTQ people face a number of additional challenges when it comes to bereavement, in addition to universal experiences of grief, pain and sadness.
Our helpline provides you with support and information and will connect you to the right LGBTQ services or advice.
You can talk to us confidentially and anonymously about anything that’s on your mind.
We support people with a range of questions and we believe that listening can help, whether you are looking for information and support or just need someone to talk to.
Our Older People’s Project is for LGBTQ people aged 50+ who would like to meet others in their community for support or information.
We provide those aged 50+ with a number of regular social activities, meet ups and trips. We also provide information and host workshops about services for older people and make connections for people within the community and to other services.
We are a group of organisations that provide befriending services to a wide range of people at risk of isolation and loneliness in the city. Have an LGBTQ specific befriending service run in partnership between ourselves (Switchboard) and Impetus. If you're an LGBTQ person who would like to volunteer as a befriender, or would like to be befriended, contact [email protected]
