We’re launching a new LGBTQ Domestic Abuse Service
We’re proud to be launching a brand new LGBTQ domestic abuse service for Brighton and Hove. This will be a healing, affirmative and community-based service for all LGBTQ survivors. To coincide with the first of 16 days of action against gender-based violence we’re holding two introductory events, one aimed at practitioners and professionals, and another for survivors of domestic abuse.

In this session we will:
- Myth-bust ideas around domestic abuse and how it affects LGBTQ+ people.
- Have the opportunity to network with professionals across the industry.
- Have open discussion and questions about how best to run DA services.

Wellbeing & Welcome Space
Thurs 25 November | 2 – 3pm
Online – Microsoft Teams
A space for LGBTQ survivors of domestic abuse to have their say about services and participate in wellbeing activities.
In this session we want to understand the specific needs of survivors in order to create a purpose built service to best support them. What would you like the world to know about your experience?
The second half of the session will be an opportunity for self-care and reflection. We will be joined by Josetta (they/them) who will be guiding us through mindful meditation and self-care practices.
This session is open to anyone who is LGBTQIA+ and has direct or indirect experience of domestic abuse.
